LFC ready to spend €30 million on Robertson back-up

Having released Alberto Moreno this summer, one of the key positions that LFC need to strengthen is in the left back department. Although Andrew Robertson was undoubtedly the best left back in the Premier League last season, the risk of injury and what that could do to LFC isn’t worth thinking about.

The Reds are believed to be after Junior Firpo from Real Betis. The player has a £44.7 million release clause, but according to Mucho Deporte, Liverpool are set to table a £26.9 million bid and could use Divock Origi to get the deal over the line.

Given Divock’s heroics last season and talk of a new contract, we’re not sure about this one, but one thing is for sure is that Liverpool FC are definitely on the hunt for an understudy to Andrew Robertson…
