Liverpool reject offers from Rangers and Leeds for winger

According to The Mirror, Jurgen Klopp has rejected loan offers from Rangers and Leeds for youngster Ryan Kent, “and wants him available as a backup this season.”

Kent, who spent last season on loan at Rangers and won their Young Player of the Season award, featured for Liverpool in their 6-0 win over Tranmere this evening, so is clearly in Klopp’s plans this preseason.

With an already thin squad and players due late back from international duty, this could be Kent’s chance to shine, as he has also been included in LFC’s squad for the tour of the United States of America.

We wouldn’t be surprised to see him depart the club on loan as the end of the transfer window approaches, but he won’t be going anywhere any time soon.
