FIFA reveal shortlist for the 2019 Best FIFA Football Awards

FIFA have today announced the shortlist for the 2019 Best FIFA Football Awards. They announced the finalists for the Best Men’s Player, Best Women’s Player, Best Goalkeeper, Puskas Award, Best Men’s Coach and Best Women’s Coach.

Unsurprisingly, Virgil van Dijk made the final three for the Best Men’s Player, alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Could he beat them to another award? We think he will.

Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made the final shortlist for the Best Men’s Coach. He’s up against Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino.

Finally, our number one (and the best goalkeeper in world football) Alisson Becker has made the list of finalists for the Best Goalkeeper. He’s going head to head with Ederson and ter Stegen.

The winners will be announced on the 23rd September, and we would not be surprised to see Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker and Jurgen Klopp stepping up to receive their awards.
