Liverpool lining up move for German striker

According to Football Insider, Liverpool are lining up a move for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

“A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that the club’s recruitment team are planning regular transfer missions to keep check on Werner even though he recently signed a new contract with RB Leipzig.”

This is a transfer rumour that has been around for some time, so there must be some sort of interest there. Although the German striker has signed a new deal at RB Leipzig, it’s believed to contain a £27 million release clause. £27 million for a German international striker? This a no brainer…

However, Bayern Munich are believed to be circling, and they have a reputation for snapping up the best German talent from their rivals, so Liverpool will have to move quick.
